Want to step up your involvement? It’s easy and rewarding to become a member. Membership is a great way to support the society and show your commitment to 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion and equality. Members get to attend and vote at Members’ Meetings, elect the directors, and are eligible to be directors***.

Online Membership Process

  2. Pay membership dues.
  3. Check your email for your registration form link.
  4. Fill out the registration form.
  5. The board will review your application. Upon acceptance by the board, you will be an official member of the society! 🏳️‍🌈🎉

*You will be charged $10 today, and $10 each following year, until you cancel the subscription. To cancel your subscription, follow these steps, or email us and we can either pause or cancel your subscription.
**If finances are a barrier to you joining, please select this option (honour system). We will never disclose which members have selected this option, and we will never ask for proof of your financial situation.
***Corporate members (non-profit & business) are not eligible to be directors of the society. If you are interested in joining our board, please select an individual membership. Either way, we really appreciate your support!

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I didn’t receive an email with a registration link?

After you’ve paid, please allow up to 10 minutes to receive the email containing the registration link.

We have noticed that these emails sometimes get flagged as spam, so remember to check your spam folder.

Ensure you are checking the same email inbox as the email address you used to make your payment.

If you have followed all these steps and still have not received an email containing a registration link, please email us. We can generate a link through our website and email it to you directly.

I was already a member. How can I renew?

If you don’t already have an account, or if you became a member in past years using a paper or PDF application form, follow the instructions at the top of this page to create your new, fully digital account.

If you have an account and your membership has not yet expired, you can add a year to the end of your membership. To do this, log in and purchase a “new” membership using the buttons above. You must be logged in to the site before you purchase the membership for this to work.

If you have an account and your membership has expired, you can either log in and purchase a “new” membership using the buttons above OR you can log in, go to the Society Documents page, and click the ‘renew’ link. The ‘renew’ link will only appear if your membership has already expired. You must be logged in to the site before you purchase the membership for this to work.

How do I know when my membership expires?

Log in to your account. Once you are logged in, the page will display your membership details.

If you still have membership days remaining, your account status will be ‘active’ and an expiration date will be shown at the bottom.

If your membership has expired, your account status will be ‘expired.’

How can I cancel my recurring membership?

We’re sorry to see you go! You can cancel a recurring membership by logging into your PayPal account and cancelling the subscription. Alternatively, email us and we can either pause or cancel your subscription.

What if I don’t have PayPal?

If you don’t want to create a PayPal account, you can use PayPal as a guest. When the website redirects you to PayPal, click “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” as shown in the image below.
